Olga PAK, violin

Olga Pak was born in Russia to Korean parents. At the age of six years, her musical talent was discovered and she started violin lessons at the Novosibirsk Specialized Music School. In the following years, she qualified for master classes with Prof. Zakhar Bron, one of her mentors, A. Brussilovsky and Vadim Repin. At the age of 17, she won the open competition for young violinists in Russia. Other international awards followed.
Her further music education led her to the Conservatory of Versailles to the class of Prof. Brussilovsky and the Berlin University of the Arts, where she studied with Prof. I. Gronich and Mark Gothoni. During numerous competitions and workshops (with Kent Nagano, Nikolaus Harnoncourt, Igor Ozim and others) she widened her musical horizons.
In December 2006, she made her acclaimed debut as a soloist at the Berliner Philharmonie. International tours followed. As a soloist, chamber musician and in duet with her sister Irina Pak she performed all over the world at the most important concert houses. In 2009 Olga Pak grounded the Berliner Camerata which develops under her direction with over 90 concerts each year, to one of the leading Chamber Orchestras of Germany.
Since 2012 she became the artistic director of the Festival. „Berlin Klassiksommer“. Since 2004 Olga Pak lives in Berlin with her Pug Shiny.
