Julien CHABOD, clarinet, Paris

julien-chabodHe began the clarinet at the age of 12 in the E.N. Of Evreux where he obtained his gold medals with the unanimity of clarinet and chamber music. In 2003, he also won a first prize in the C.N.R. of Paris in the class of Richard Vieille before returning to the C.N.S.M. Of Paris in the class of Michel Arrignon and Arnaud Leroy. In June 2007 he obtained the Diploma of Higher Education.

At the same time, he is invited to numerous orchestras such as the Radio France Philharmonic Orchestra, the Lausanne Chamber Orchestra, the Pays de Loire National Orchestra, the Rouen Opera Orchestra, the Intercontemporain Ensemble of Paris…

In 1997, he won the first prize unanimously in the Léopold Bellan competition and in 2002 the first prize at the Picardie European competition. Finally in April 2007, he was awarded a third prize as well as the public prize at the Claude Debussy competition in Paris. Julien Chabod is a member of the Vendôme clarinet quartet, alongside Franck Amet, Nicolas Baldeyrou and Alexandre Chabod. He also participates in numerous festivals such as the Folles Journées de Nantes, the Aix en Provence Festival, the Lucerne Festival, the Mozart Festival in Salzburg …

Soloist at the Musiciens du Louvre (Marc Minkowski) since September 2006, Julien Chabod is a solo clarinet with the Victor Hugo Franche Comté Orchestra. Since January 2005, he is also a solo clarinet with the Orchester d’Harmonie de la Police Parisienne. Holder of the Certificate of Aptitude as Professor, Julien Chabod teaches at the C.R.R of Rueil-Malmaison.
